So says Huffington Post blogger Staci Lu this week in her blog on stress which highlights a recent interview with UCSF Psychologist Elissa Epel.  Especially, when you consider the influence stress has on eating and its relationship to obesity and other chronic ailments.  In fact, this year alone, research has revealed a great deal about stress and its impact on our health including an increased risk of heart attack, increased inflammation from dwelling on stressful events, increased risk of diabetes and an increased risk of drug and substance abuse relapse.  In the article "Ten New Things We've Learned About Stress This Year", we also find some positive new information and ways of dealing with stress.  For example, smiling is an antidote to stress, and meditation can influence the levels of the stress hormone cortisol.  Since this month is national stress awareness month we think it's important to do our part in building awareness of stress issues and also, awareness in some of the homeopathic remedies that can help reduce stress in your life.
