Though similar to Dr. Luyties’ #86 Flu with Bryonia and Eupatorium perf, this remedy has a different twist, and more support for severe cold symptoms.
• Arsenicum alb - Applies to restless, exhausting flu cases which often have vomiting and diarrhea and a craving for small sips of water; its colds are marked by burning nasal discharge.
• Euphrasia - Relieves colds and hayfever with burning watery eyes that are sensitive to light and a copious daytime cough that is worse in the morning.
• Bryonia - Relieves slow moving flu with so much aching, chilling, sweatless heat, painful coughing and overall irritability that no motion, company or help is wanted - especially if Bryonia’s frontal bursting headache is present.
• Eupatorium - Offers needed relief for painful flu cases when bones feel broken, the eyes ache, the skin is sore, there is intense shivering and chills down the back, sneezing, and a throbbing occipital (in the back) headache.
This combination offers much relief and supports a speedier recovery to some of the most uncomfortable flu and severe cold cases, however if a fever runs above 102 degrees or persists for more than 48 hours, guidance from a healthcare professionals is advised.
