I was about to pull out my OWN hair over my 8 year old daughter's tough case of lice. No matter how many hours I spent picking the nits out of her hair and washing her bedding the lice returned. Her classroom was having more and more kids identified with the nasty little critters too so there was no end in sight! Thankfully the school nurse where I worked recommended Nit Quit and said that a neighboring school district thought so highly of the product that they were handing out the kits to families. I loved that it was pestiside-free and had a preventative component as well. It worked wonders! We needed to use both tubes of produce because my daughter's hair was so long, but it did the job! Her hair is both lice and nit-free and the preventative spray will hopefully keep it that way. My only complaint is that the spray leaves my daughter's hair looking a bit greasy. My step-daughter came to live with us about a year and a half ago. Since then we have been battling the lice that came with her. We were visiting in Ohio when we found she had lice yet again. The cousin I was staying with told me about the preventative spray. So, we went to the drugstore bought the kits for everyone in the house, treated everyone and combed and picked out all the bugs and nits. The shampoo smelled really great! Other products have a horible smell. We have now been using Quit Nits preventative spray everyday for the last month and a half. So far, so great!! No lice! I was nervouse because a neighbor came to tell me that her daughter had it, and I immediately checked my daughter, and nothing! I check her head daily, and still have not found anything! My 8 year old daughter has had an on-going problem with head lice for the last few months. We had tried every over-the-counter product out there to no avail. Yesterday, the school nurse suggested we try Quit Nits. I hadn't heard of it before. I have to say this is absolutely THE BEST product out there! It smells wonderful, for one thing. I love the fact that it's non-toxic and my daughter loved the fact that it didn't leave her long hair sticky and tangled!! I really cannot say enough good things about this product.
