Mastitis and Belladonna
Shortly after giving birth to my second child (naturally) and embarking on
my motherly duty of breastfeeding, I came down with a bout of mastitis.
Bound and determined to avoid conventional medicine (antibiotics) so as not
to interrupt my infant son's need to nourish, I proceeded to treat my
infection homeopathically with belladonna, as indicated in my trusty
homeopathy reference guide. Lo and behold, several days later I no longer
suffered from the terrible pain in my breast and my son and I continue a
lovely nursing relationship 6 months later, without ever having needed to
treat with conventional drugs. This experience with homeopathy was my first
and gave me the confidence and trust in these remedies to turn to them first
when needing to treat illness or injury. Now I always have arnica on hand
(especially with a toddler in the house) and have relied heavily on my
Little People's Remedy Kit during my son's troubles with colic. Now we
are entering the teething phase and I've got my Teething Tabs all ready to
go! Your website is very informative and has been a great help for someone
as new to homeopathy as they come.
